i’m worried that young people who support obama and turn the debates into like memes and shit aren’t actually going to vote. like it doesn’t matter how you feel or how many gifs you post. you actually have to vote or it won’t count for anything in the end.

The sad thing is depending on where spookyvelen lives, she’s right. I moved to North Carolina in March, so I’m 110% committed to voting, but I spent my last two presidential elections in my home state of Mississippi where my vote was quite literally useless.
There’s a grand total of about 8 states whose results aren’t locked in stone, and which way those swing will decide the entire election. The actual electorate whose opinions will sway anything is much lower than 47%.
